As an experienced process improvement project manager, Elizabeth has led various successful process improvement efforts in several arenas:
In 2004, Elizabeth led her employer, then an 8(a) contractor, to a successful SCE appraisal at level 2 of the SW CMM model, resulting in additional business that catapulted the organization out of 8(a) status.
In the spring of 2007, and again in the spring of 2008, Elizabeth successfully completed projects to lead two business units of one of the largest federal government prime contractors to their first and second ever successful Level 3 CMMI SCAMPI appraisals in a Systems Engineering (SE) program.
In the spring of 2009, Elizabeth successfully completed a project to achieve ISO 20000 certification for a program of the same major government contractor.
Elizabeth is currently leading an effort for the Washington, DC chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI) to develop and document the chapter’s business processes.
As a speaker and trainer in the areas of project management and process improvement:
Elizabeth serves as an instructor in the Project Management certificate program of the Continuing Education and Professional Development arm of the Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) system.
She currently serves as an instructor for Level I Program Management certification classes for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
She has spoken at association events, including presenting in support of technical communications careers in process improvement at the 53rd annual STC Conference in Las Vegas, NV, in 2006.

Process training materials that can be tailored to the development and implementation of any process in any industry.
Elizabeth's education includes the SEI authorized 3-day introductory course to the CMMI for Development (ver. 1.2), as well as initial ISO 9001 auditor training and IBM Rational University course work. She received her bachelor's degree in advertising, specializing in market research, and has taken graduate course work in technical writing and variant statistics. She has held a Secret clearance and currently holds a Public Trust via her work with government contracting organizations.
Elizabeth is active in the Washington, DC chapters of Project Management Institute (PMI), serving on the Board of Directors since 2009. She is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
